Lecture: Archeology 101 at the Dey Mansion
Time & Location
About the Event
Michael J. Gall, a Principal Sr. Archaeologist with Richard Grubb & Associates and the President of the Archaeological Society of New Jersey, who has over 24 years of experience conducting archaeology in New Jersey, will conduct an "Archaeology 101" for the public. The talk will introduce the steps archaeologists take before, during, and after the "digging" takes place. We'll also talk about why archaeology is done, where it takes place, how it can benefit the public, and the various things archaeologists find that help make sense of the past. We'll also discuss archaeology that took place at Dey Mansion in Wayne Township prior to the building's beautiful historical renovation. Mr. Gall will take questions from participants.
